2026 OCAAHS Eclipse Awardee, JoAnn Tolbert

Joann Tolbert is a remarkable leader, role model, and dedicated servant whose compassion and commitment have made a lasting impact throughout Orange County, Virginia. For nearly two decades, she devoted herself to serving individuals and families through the Love Outreach Food Pantry, providing not only essential assistance but also encouragement, dignity, and hope.

For several years, Joann led the Love Outreach volunteer team, combining her expertise in food handling with a genuine desire to help others. Her leadership extended far beyond managing daily operations. She worked alongside volunteers, rolled up her sleeves wherever help was needed, and created an atmosphere where everyone was inspired to give their very best. Her warm personality, positive spirit, and willingness to serve made her a trusted and respected presence among volunteers and the many families who relied upon Love Outreach.

After nineteen years of dedicated service, Joann retired from Love Outreach in July 2026, leaving behind an extraordinary legacy of compassion and community service. Her influence can be measured not only by the countless individuals and families she helped, but also by the volunteers she encouraged, mentored, and inspired along the way.

Her contributions have strengthened Orange County and demonstrated the difference one dedicated person can make in the lives of many. Her legacy of service will continue to inspire others to lend a hand, lift a neighbor, and make their community a better place.
